Barbol Packaging Re-Brand

The Assignment:

Barbol had a wide range of baked goods and an equally wide range of packaging for those products. What they needed was a consistent visual language to unify the brand and make all the packaging look like it was part of the same family.

Challenges:
  • 3 pack varieties

    • plastic packs (2 sizes, for cookies sold in supermarkets)

    • cardboard boxes (for bulk cookies sold in bazaars)

    • stick-on labels (for bread sold in local stores)

  • Capturing local culture – the packages needed to look Central Asian and festive, and be able to compete with Russian and European imports on a shelf.

  • Printing restrictions – The brand style had to be flexible enough to look beautifully consistent with various printing restrictions depending on the type of pack.
